Reinhard Hermes immigrated to the United States, and became a naturalized U.S. citizen after serving 4-years in the U.S. Army, 46^th Medical Battalion, as an Emergency Room Technician. 1977 Reinhard received his Master of Science degree from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF). A copyeditor, proofreader, author, technical writer, and photographer, who mirrors life beyond appearances, with a focus contrary to Big Brother’s social media, commercialism, and corrupt government institutions. 

Competencies: Senior Psychometrist, at the College of Medicine, University of California, Irvine; Gerson Training Institute, Cancer Nutrition, San Diego, CA; and a former Certified Financial Planner; with graduate work in Taxation. I review your document and consider the impact of your writing, making suggestions for thematic and style improvements, correcting any spelling and grammar errors to ensure accurate formatting, and making your manuscript more captivating for your readers. 

Developmental Editing
Considers the overall quality of your writing and suggestions to make your theme, tone, and construction more engaging and coherent for your audience. 

Copy Editing
Focuses on a sentence-by-sentence evaluation such as grammar, structure, and word choice, and that your language is suitable for the intended audience to avoid awkward and confusing sentences.

Proofreader
Often is the final evaluation of your writing. I look for spelling or formatting issues to polish your work for publication, but will first listen and learn what you are willing to change and incorporate that feedback into edits.

Words are like pointers; often looking beyond their letters. Photos like mirrors; seeing beyond their reflection. That's why the letter of the law often mirrors our political and societal malignancy, but it can take years to surface before we realize we’ve made a mistake. But no matter what, getting back up after we fall into social media purgatory is better than staying down. That’s why the most crucial step out of Karmic Law is forgiving others, but just as vital, ourselves.

In all good stories, books, or motion pictures something always goes wrong. If nothing goes wrong, there is no book or movie, only Facebook. The main characters don’t develop. Some movies are pulled because they’re uninspiring; lots of action, but no depth. The “what you see, is what you get” approach. That’s why there were once so many soap operas, but in 2021 only four remained. Most dull, lackluster books are usually resolved on some external or “doing” level. But in inspiring books the main characters face some impossible obstacle like COVID-19, and grow by changing, healing, and developing abilities they didn’t have before. Then there are those memorable movies or books we can read or watch over again, because in them the main character also has an internal awakening, reconnecting them with their “being,” humanity and community.
